Beginning in July 2023, the Motiv876 team began outreach to gather school supplies to donate to a local basic school before the new year. Throughout the summer, the team worked extensively to raise awareness of the drive and motivate the community to support. 

During a meeting with the staff at Sandhurst Early Childhood Development Centre (ECDC), the Motiv876 team was deeply moved by the dedication of the faculty. Despite facing significant financial challenges and limited resources, the teachers remained committed to providing the best education possible for their students. It became clear that this school would greatly benefit from community support.

Thanks to the overwhelming support from the community, Motiv876 was able to donate:

• 50 notebooks
• 600 sheets of filler paper
• 15 folders
• 40 tins of food
• 7 backpacks
• Over 70 pens and pencils
• 35 sharpeners
• Erasers
• Markers
• Glue sticks
• Calculators
• Crayons
• Rulers
• Scissors
• Paintbrushes

We are immensely grateful for the outpouring of support, and we look forward to continuing this journey of creating opportunities for Jamaica’s future leaders.
